We are currently recruiting for Residential Support Managers within
the emergency accommodation service. Working as a shift manager or a
senior manager in an accommodation service is a fantastic role for
someone who enjoys working with people, loves a challenge and would
like to maximise career progression opportunities in the future.
Working as part of an established team, you will be given extensive
training and support while settling in. Regular meetings are held to
ensure that communication is good and that everyone is kept informed
on all issues within the service. Our goal is for the service to have
a happy and welcoming atmosphere and the team who runs the facility is
paramount in making sure that it is an enjoyable workplace and place
to stay.
DUTIES IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
* managing the existing team
* ensuring that the highest standards are maintained throughout the
service
* problem solving and crisis management. Problems that arise are
dealt with and resolved as quickly as possible.
* building relationships with both residents and your team
* overseeing health and safety, which drives a number of processes
within the service. Good knowledge of compliance is essential
* reporting – keeping accurate records of meetings and reporting
to senior management to ensure excellent communication at all times
THE BEST CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE MAY HAVE:
* A qualification in social care or a similar discipline
* Experience in working in the accommodation services or a similar
government or NGO supported service
* Strong administration and organizational skills
* Good decision making abilities and excellent judgment on assessing
different situations
Salary negotiable depending on experience
